백미옥의 '삶(Life)' 시리즈 중 '영면(Eternal Love)' 전시에서는 상실과 애도, 그리고 죽음의 표현을 상징한다. 영성에 대한 미술은 삶의 덧없음에 대한 두려움, 사후 세계에 대한 믿음과 그것을 뒷받침하는 애도 의식에 시각적인 형태를 부여했다.

In Paik Mee-Ok’s Life series, the exhibition Eternal Love symbolizes loss, mourning, and the expression of death. Art concerned with spirituality has given visual form to the fear of life’s transience, beliefs about the afterlife, and the rituals of mourning that sustain those beliefs.
